Academic Power-Up is a structured five-week in-person academic program designed to help elementary students strengthen foundational skills, receive individualized support, and apply what they are learning with greater confidence.

Students may receive support across reading, ELA, math, writing, vocabulary, comprehension, grammar, study skills, homework support, and academic enrichment.

Instruction is individualized based on the student's grade level, academic needs, goals, and progress.

Five-Week Learning Experience

Week 1 — Assess & Build

Identify academic strengths, learning needs, foundational skills, and student goals.

Week 2 — Strengthen

Provide targeted instruction and guided practice in identified academic skill areas.

Week 3 — Apply

Students apply skills through academic activities, problem solving, reading, writing, math, and real-world learning situations.

Week 4 — Extend

Students work with increased complexity while developing independence, reasoning, and academic learning strategies.

Week 5 — Demonstrate & Celebrate

Students demonstrate learning, review progress, reflect on growth, and identify next steps.

In-Person Schedule

Academic Power-Up appointments are available Monday–Thursday during afternoon service hours.

Standard Service Window: 2:00 PM–6:00 PM

Students receive a recurring schedule based on program availability and enrollment.

A minimum two-hour instructional appointment applies.

Academic Enrichment

When appropriate for the student's learning goals, instruction may incorporate:

• Financial literacy

• Career exploration

• Educational projects

Enrichment activities are connected to academic learning and selected based on student needs and program

Student Progress

Student progress is monitored throughout the five-week program. Families receive a final progress summary outlining skills addressed, areas of strength, areas for continued development, and recommended next steps.
